Volunteer for our Over The Edge Event!
Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County needs volunteers to help participants go "Over the Edge" at our fundraiser to rappel a 16-story building in downtown WPB!


Volunteer Positions :

Rope: Two-day commitment
Training day on Friday, October 14th: 1 pm - 4 pm
- Assist OTE technical team with training/loading/coaching rappelers.
(requires pre-event training on the 14th and the opportunity to repel too!)

Registration : Check-in rappelers/ provide wristbands/ verify signed waivers/ collect droppable items

Guides: Lead groups of rappelers to staging and roof

Floater: Varies duties include
- Staging/ Security/ Rooftop Radio

Cheerleaders: Wear your cheer uniform or any costume to cheer on the participants from the landing zone

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of sub-standard housing by building simple, safe, and affordable homes for working families, in partnership with God, our community volunteers, and local organizations.

Description

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County partners with families in need to build affordable homes together. Each Habitat partner family is required to invest a minimum of 500 sweat equity hours of their own labor into the construction of homes before being eligible to purchase their home utilizing a 30-year, no-profit, no-interest loan.
