Work Hours: 10-15 hr/week

because I said I would is a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept. We are changing lives through Promise Cards, chapters of volunteers, character education in schools, and awareness campaigns with global reach. We only hire individuals who can make and keep their promises.

The Human Resources Intern will directly assist with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, and employee benefits. The intern will assist with the creation of HR materials and services including employee handbooks, policies, job descriptions, and employee satisfaction, as well as day-to-day updating of employee records. The intern will work directly with the COO, who oversees HR and the intern program.

This is a remote internship and requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship but offers eligibility for credit through your school.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Manage volunteer and intern recruitment, including resume screening,
• Update our internal databases employee information, including contact details and employment forms
• Assist with screening of resumes and application forms
• Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates
• Assist with preparation of HR-related reports as needed
• Review and distribute company policies, including employee handbook and job descriptions
• Assist with preparation of HR-related reports as needed

The intern will attend weekly staff meetings, regularly scheduled meetings with their supervisor, and bi-weekly meetings with other interns for professional development.
