Purpose Statement: This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Biomedical Services (BIO) team. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home opportunity). The role of the Operations Onboarding & Training Lead will support the nationwide Biomedical Volunteer Workforce Engagement’s onboarding and training as a thought leader and training facilitator. As part of the National Operations Team responsible for ensuring all prospective candidates are interviewed, onboarded, and trained for success. The Operations Onboarding & Training Lead will pioneer the successful onboarding of both field and NHQ volunteers through the facilitation of weekly trainings, engaging field-level onboarding & training volunteers, and supporting a nationwide program.
Responsibilities:
- Be a thought leader for onboarding and training volunteers in the biomedical services
- Develop and implement goals and objectives for volunteers and employees as needed Subject Matter Expert on the Onboarding of new volunteers, including Management of Opportunity Queue,
- Receive Referrals, Conduct Interviews, Approve volunteers
- Create and facilitate weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly trainings
- Assign and monitor EDGE Curricula
- Management of the training reports
- Participate in the annual Volunteer Workforce Planning process
- 1+ Year of experience as a trainer, instructor, or teacher
- Experience in interviewing and onboarding employees or volunteers
- Ability to use Excel or other data analytics programs
- Access to quiet workspace Reliable internet connectivity
- Strong emotional intelligence and resilience
Required Skills:
- Enthusiastic about Red Cross mission and programs
- Experience leading training sessions using virtual platforms
- Available to commit to present to staff and volunteers twice a month

Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ Years of experience training in a virtual setting.
- aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent certification.
- Learning Management System experience.
Length of Appointment: One-year appointment, renewable annually based on satisfactory performance in position.
