The Council on Aging is seeking a volunteer for our Bagdad congregate dining site. The schedule would be every Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m. If you are interested in learning more about this volunteer opportunity, please contact the COA office at 850.432.1475. Selected volunteer must pass a Level One background check and have been vaccinated for COVID.

Retired and Senior Volunteer Program

As one of the Corporation for National Service Senior Corps programs, RSVP offers persons 55 and older the opportunity to use their life experience and skills to make a difference in their community. Whether working with children or adults, helping out in times of disaster, or providing much-needed support to non profit organizations, RSVP volunteers are making their communities stronger.

RSVP Volunteers choose how, where, and when they want to serve. In Escambia County, more than 45 community organizations utilize the skills and experience of RSVP Volunteers.

To become part of a volunteer force that is making a difference in the lives of those they touch and in the organizations in which they serve contact:

Those who volunteer with Council on Aging have one thing in common, a desire to assist the lives of the elderly in some way. Our volunteers are dedicated individuals of all ages and from all walks of life willing to help us further our mission. Volunteers work along staff and supplement efforts in all areas of service including administrative tasks, helping clients and assisting with special events..
