We are looking for energetic volunteers to rake leaves for low income seniors in the Rochester, Rochester Hills or Oakland Township areas, you can work individually, or with a team of your co-workers, or friends. As this is very weather dependent, the timing of this event is up to you, we start in late October and work through November. We ask that volunteers bring their own rakes, gloves and tall brown leaf bags. Once we know your time commitment, and how many volunteers that you have, we will assign you the addresses of seniors.
If you have a group of four or more please email me at dburcar@opcseniorcenter.org, and I will send you a group application to complete. If you are volunteering individually, please go to our website: OPCSENIORCENTER.ORG and press the "Get Connected" tab. There will be a pull down menu for the Volunteer Department. Print the Volunteer Application and email it back to me with a copy of your Driver's License. We do background Checks on all of our volunteers.
This is a great opportunity for families! We ask that our volunteers be at least 16 years old, if they come alone. If a parent is volunteering as well, we welcome all school aged volunteers to come with their parents.
