AmeriCorps is a national service program that serves across all 50 states in the U.S. Over 1.5 million have served as an AmeriCorps member and because of AmeriCorps' wide network, our members have been promoted to higher positions. Our program is based in Paterson, NJ. Our mission is to provide mentorship and academic support to at-risk youth. Our members work closely with the school to lead activities, clubs, and events. We are very team-focused and community-driven. Being an AmeriCorps member will give you access to the following benefits:

• Loan Forbearance during your term of service. If you are currently paying student loans, you do not have to worry about paying them while you are an AmeriCorps member. Any interest that accrues during your service will be paid for by the Commission of National Community Service.
• Annual Stipend of 16,000 before taxes. Due to the service-oriented nature of our program, AmeriCorps members get paid a biweekly modest stipend of $615. AmeriCorps is a full-time schedule, but we are flexible if the member is in school or has other responsibilities. They must complete 1700 hours of service within one year.
• Educational Award in the amount of $6,345 after successfully completing a year of service. Depending on the university you attend, they may match the Education Award totaling $12,690 toward your education.
• Free Childcare (if applicable)
• Free Healthcare including dental and vision
• 340 hours of professional development
• You will be involved in a vast network of over 70,000 AmeriCorps Alumni, in AmeriCorps we are career-focused and we try our best to ensure all our members get promoted to higher positions.
