To provide customer service while supplying needed merchandise and gifts for the convenience of patients, staff, employees, and visitors. Operating hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 7pm. Saturday, 10am - 2pm and Sunday, 11am - 3pm.

Qualifications:
· Minimum age is 18 years old, must be able to keep a consistent schedule.
· Ability to listen to customers
· Communicate effectively
· Ability to understand and remember multiple procedures
· Have stamina to move quickly and be on your feet for up to four hours
· Be mobile enough to organize shelves
· See and hear well enough to communicate with persons of same or different
nationalities and/or cultures

Responsible To: The Volunteer Manager

Responsibilities:
· Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
. Be empathic and listen attentively to patrons, which include, patients, family
members and/or friends experiencing the stress of a hospitalization
· Answer the telephone in a competent and knowledge manner
· Operate a cash register/ Void sales receipts when mistakes are made
· Accurately take telephone orders
· Use credit card charge machine
· Dust and stock specific items
· Perform the functions for opening or closing gift shop

  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Volunteers are needed for a 3-4 hour commitment, once a week or maybe every other week. Depending on the number of volunteers.
  • Volunteers are required to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccine. Volunteers must complete health clearance and Tuberculosis (TB) requirements.
