Every Scout district requires trustees, which form the Executive Committee, This committee oversees the administration of the district. As well as a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, each Executive welcomes people with specific skills, and we are currently looking for someone with legal skills.
At the last census, Basingstoke East Scouts had over 700 youth members between the ages of 6 and 18 involved in our Beaver, Cub, Scout, Explorer and Young Leader sections.
There are over 200 adult volunteers, who undertake various roles including:
- Working directly with young people
- Managing and supporting other adults
- Sharing expertise in programme and activities
