Become the Chair of the Youth Committee for Racial Justice.

The YCRJ which will consist of hardworking youth advocates that will meet with legislators, advocate for/against policy, and lobby in order to achieve meaningful racial justice. The commission is hosted and supported by Their Stories Political, a nonprofit organization aiming to channel youth activism to enact change at the legislative level.

In this position, Chairs will lead a team of passionate young activists with the goal of enacting sustainable, systemic, and meaningful racial justice. They will oversee a global committee that operates with the goal of creating legislative change through bills, policies, etc. Together, the committee will tackle issues like Black Lives Matter, international ethnic conflicts, xenophobia, religious persecution, systemic barriers, and more.

Responsibilities of the Chair would include: organizing and facilitating committee meetings, following up with individual members and representatives, ensuring that the committee meets in long-term goals, and educating its members on lobbying & political advocacy.
