The new Spark!Lab program at the Morris Museum is seeking volunteers that enjoy working with children while they create, innovate and collaborate. As an ambassador you will work with children and families, assist in the setup and clean up of the space and hands-on activities. You will be asked to complete at least 2 four hour shifts during a month. This volunteer role is perfect for someone who has an interest in invention, history and science. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed.

Description

Spark!Lab is a hands-on invention workspace where children and their families can learn and engage in the history and process of invention. Morris Museum's Spark!Lab is one of only 10 Spark!Labs in the nation. Spark!Lab is the flagship educational initiative of the Smithsonian's Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation. Spark!Lab is looking for volunteers or "ambassadors" interested in working with children and families. Volunteers or "ambassadors," are asked to share their time and talents for at least 2 four hour shifts during a month. This opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, tinkering, experimenting or has an interest in invention, history, and science. Share your talents and help to inspire the next generation of inventors and inventions.
