The Animal Pad

The Animal Pad all-breed dog rescue is looking for some more volunteers to join our amazing Foster Team! We are in need of a few dedicated Temp Foster Coordinators to work with our Foster Team in helping to organize temporary foster homes for our rescue pups as needed. Sometimes our regular foster families go out of town or have emergencies come up, and these volunteers will be coordinating the short-term stay of a TAP foster dog in a new, temporary foster home. They will also be those temp foster's main point of contact for the duration of the dog's stay, and will regularly check in to ensure our foster pups are well cared for and the temp foster feels supported. Some temporary fosters have ended up adopting their temp foster dog, so not only do you get to play matchmaker and help a rescue dog sleep well while their main foster is away, you could actually be the reason that a TAP pup finds their forever family!

About The Animal Pad

Mission Statement

The Animal Pad is a non profit, all breed dog rescue based in San Diego, California. We are 100% Volunteer Run, donation based and we rescue dogs primarily from the streets of Mexico.

Here at TAP, we give voice to the voiceless and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find them the best homes possible.

The Animal Pad was founded in 2010 and we are 100% Volunteer Run and Donation Based. We rescue dogs primarily off the streets of Mexico. In addition to rescuing, we have an activism arm called TAPACT where we bring the Community together to tackle issues that affect dogs in hopes to evoke permanent change. Here at TAP, we give voice to the voiceless and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find them the best homes possible.
