Would you like to use your skills to help the Latino Community of Louisville while also increasing your knowledge in the communications field? We are looking for interns or volunteers interested in gaining experience in a wide variety of communications activities. These include videography, multimedia editing, writing, photography, content creation, social media and marketing. Training is available. Dates and hours will vary. Vaccine required.

The Backside Learning Center is a nonprofit organization building community and enriching the lives of backside workers and families at Churchill Downs.
Description
The Backside Learning Center provides free educational services to the men and women who work with the thoroughberd horses in the barn area, or backside, of Churchill Downs and Trackside in Louisville, KY. Our programming includes English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL), technology workshops, citizenship tutoring, art class, and music class. All of our classes & tutoring depend on volunteers. Family Education Program focusing on afterschool homework assistance for equine workers' children,
Note: BLC hours are between 9:00 am-8:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Days, times and frequency of direct service will fall between these hours but will depend upon the work schedule and availability of students and volunteers.
