Meet at Growing to Give in Brunswick at the Garden Shed. The farm managers (Theda or Carrie) or a volunteer will greet your group. You will be given instructions about what to harvest and where it is. You will harvest for about an hour and a half, and then bring everything to the garden shed where it is weighed and written down on the harvest board. Then, the produce is assembled into mixed boxes and the Team Leader will also write down how many boxes go to each recipient. Finally, the group splits up and delivers to recipients in their personal vehicles!
Requirements:
- Ability to drive and use own vehicle
- Ability to walk, kneel on the ground, bend over, and do other general garden work
- Ability to pick up boxes of produce (generally ranging from 5-30lb) from the ground and place in car (and vice versa)
