We need more volunteers us process firewood for families in need. We believe at Wood4Good that no family should be heat insecure. We need you help to make that happen! Our work is extremely rewarding, please consider helping us
Here is what we need;
A. Volunteers to run the control on the splitter. This can be done from a seated position, and will actually more than double firewood production on one splitter. easy
B. Kids who want to stack wood in piles. Turn up and show your kids how important it is to give back to the community and state you cherish. (easy-medium)
C. Volunteers who want to feed the splitters. medium-hard
D. Volunteers who can drive their trucks to deliver wood to families. This is the best part of what we do and you will be hooked as soon as you deliver one load. medium
E. Volunteers who can run chainsaws, experience required. We would love a couple of strong people that I can have on a rotating call list to help us. hardest
F.. A volunteer to help us secure grants, and funding.
G.A volunteer to help us coordinate volunteer weekends at the woodlot.

Mission Statement
Wood4Good was founded in 2019 by Eric Axelrod and his two young sons and recently received official non-profit status. Through volunteer efforts and local fundraising, this wood bank helps neighbors stay warm by providing seasoned firewood to families in need. With almost forty percent of Vermonters using wood as a heat source in their homes, Wood4Good can directly impact the lives of community members in need. As a volunteer run wood shelf, Wood4Good directly impacts neighbors in our community by providing those in need with seasoned firewood to help heat their homes. In the same way there are no need based requirements for utilizing a food shelf, residents of Chittenden County can submit requests for firewood assistance and will be granted delivery without question. Wood4Good and the Axelrod family believe strongly in the value of building community, giving back, and the joy that comes from working hard to help others.
Description
Wood4Good Process and Distributes seasoned firewood to Chittenden county residents. We distributed 50 cords last winter, this winter we will do 150 cords and next winter our goal is 200+ cords of firewood. Our woodlot is located in Jericho
