Youth Training Coordinator

The Youth Training Coordinator is responsible for promoting the opportunity to become a Youth Facilitator as well as maintaining Youth applicant data and keeping track of their training status. You will be part of a team working to ensure that Youth are supported through their training journey with us and become successful Youth Facilitators.


Responsibilities:

  • Promotes the Youth Facilitator opportunity by speaking to our youth participants over zoom and sending them the application information.
  • Collecting applicant information and maintaining an accurate database of records.
  • Supporting an orientation session for Youth Facilitators Applicants.
  • Ensure applicants are assigned to a program cohort for their training.
  • Communicate with the cohort’s facilitators and coaches to keep track of each applicant’s training status and gauge if additional training is necessary before accepting them as a full Youth Facilitator.
  • Issue a certificate when a Youth Facilitator has completed training.
  • Additional responsibilities where needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with youth
  • Experience working with volunteers or experience as a volunteer
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Above-average computer skills
  • Familiar with Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Drive)
  • Familiar with Slack, able to check messages daily
  • Self-starter: as this position is work from home with flexible hours, you must be able to set and manage your own schedule in order to keep up with program needs
  • Highly organized, pays attention to detail
  • Proactive and excellent communication skills
  • Go-getter, great at brainstorming and problem solving
  • Must be able to commit to at least 6 months
