Tutor Kids as a G3 Tutor
Get Good Grades (G3) is a program where tutors are matches with youth on a variety of criteria such as where the tutor's academic strengths are, what interests the tutor and the member, the schedule you have, the schedule of the members, and many other factors. Our goal with G3 is to help students struggling to keep up in school.
There are a variety of ways as a tutor you can accomplish that such a simply being there to help when the work gets tricky, coming up with ways to reengage a student who has lost interest, showing a new method to solve a problem, brainstorming topics for a writing assignment, or even just encouraging a student to keep trying.
With this opportunity, you are expected to commit to two hours a week of tutoring for one quarter or semester. As a tutor, you will keep a log of tutee progress and communicate that progress with the program coordinator.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
About Tumwater Boys&Girls Club
600 Israel Rd. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501, US
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.
Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow - all while having fun. It is the place where great futures are started each and every day.
