Serenity Hospice is looking for volunteers in Marion, Polk, Benton and Linn counties to serve patients and families of the terminally ill. Working as a hospice volunteer is similar to helping a family in need. The only qualification required is your desire to help those in your community- all training will be provided.
Volunteer your time and talent as a companion for a patient, as an end of life vigil support, office assistant, veteran companion, and more. Do you play an instrument, have a special artistic talent, or like to read aloud? We've got a perfect place for you!
Our volunteers do a variety of tasks and there is something for everyone!
Volunteer on your own, with a friend, or with your family for an amazing and life changing experience.
For more details about our upcoming training and application process, or more insight on what it is like to work in hospice, please respond to this posting, or visit our website www.serenityhospice.org for more information.

Mission Statement

Description
We are privileged to provide end-of-life care and are dedicated to doing "Whatever It takes, when it matters most." We are rigorous in the ongoing evaluation of our performance and work to improve our process and results every day. We are committed to acting with integrity and having a positive impact on everyone with whom we come in contact. Using a holistic approach, Serenity Palliative Care and Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients (and their families) experiencing end-of-life transition. We believe that no one should die alone, afraid or in pain. Pain management is our main priority and alternative therapies are offered as a complementary means of treating pain. Serenity is also a proud partner of the We Honor Veterans Program. Serenity has developed our own V.I.P. Program as a special level of care designed for Veterans.
