ACC Maple Tree Village is a brand new senior living facility in South Sacramento - and we need volunteers! We've recently welcomed new residents into our facility, which allowed us to open a second dining room for meal times. Volunteers in this role will assist the Culinary Department with simple tasks around meal times for our residents.
During your regular shifts, you will help with:
- Serving meals to residents in one of our dining rooms.
- Light cleaning and bussing dishes
- Other duties as assigned
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand or move around for the duration of your shift (see shift details below)
- Good punctuality and commitment!
All volunteers are asked to commit to a regular schedule for at least 3 months. All shifts are available Monday - Sunday!
- Breakfast shift: 7:30am - 9:00am
- Dinner shift: 4:30pm - 6:00pm
- All volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (meaning 2 weeks have passed since the final dose of your vaccine, booster shot required if you're eligible).
- Volunteers in this position are required to complete a LiveScan Fingerprinting Background Check.
- ACC pays for all volunteer background checks, and does not complete background checks on any individual without written consent.
- No volunteer is denied solely on the grounds of criminal conviction; but the date, nature, and relevance of the offense to the positions assigned may be considered.
- All volunteers are required to watch two (2) training videos; about Elder Abuse Prevention and Mandated Reporting, and HIPAA Confidentiality. Total duration = approximately 45 minutes.
- Complete and sign all forms in the Volunteer Application Packet.
