Mission Statement

SeaCleanse is committed to removing marine waste from the oceans surrounding the U.S. and particularly the Great Pacific Garbage Patch located between Hawaii and California. We use advanced ocean-cleaning equipment to collect marine waste, transport it to zero-emission plants and convert it into clean-burning fuel. We strive to recover as much ocean waste as we can, using methods that have the smallest possible impact on the environment.

Description

We collect ocean trash from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, located between California and Hawaii. We sort and transport the waste to a zero-emission plant where it is cleaned, dried, and ground into small pellets. Using extremely high temperatures, the plant converts the pellets into clean-burning gas. The process creates excess heat, which is reused as a source of energy, and "Biochar", a form of charcoal that can be used in agriculture.

The collected debris is scooped up into a special compactor where it is compressed, shrink-wrapped, and stored in large bins. The barges then transport the collected waste to a zero-emission plant, which can process between 5,000 pounds and 80,000 tons of garbage. In keeping our commitment to a healthier planet, our methods of garbage extraction have the smallest possible environmental impact, utilizing natural forces such as wind, waves, currents, and renewable energy for heavy lifting.
