Back again after a year off, Chippewa Nature Center will be holding our Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 2, 2021. We depend on volunteers to help make this an enjoyable experience for several hundred visitors who will attend this annual event. ($5.00 admission for non-member adults, children, volunteers and CNC members are free). Volunteers have a variety of ways to become involved with this event from helping with various crafts: candle dipping (adults), Buzz Saws (button-on-a string) and ropemaking to activities such as children's games, Photo op area (older teens and adults)and cider pressing Masking may be required by volunteers.

3 Shifts

  • Sat Oct 02, 2021 - 09:30 AM to 12:00 AM
    Craft shifts (9:30-12:00; 11:30-2:00 or 1:45-4:15) other activity shifts vary throughout the day.
  • Sat Oct 02, 2021 - 11:30 AM to 02:00 PM
    Craft areas have three different times slots (9:30-12; 11:30-2:00 and 1:45-4:15) Cider Pressing is 12:15-4:15
  • Sat Oct 02, 2021 - 01:45 PM to 04:15 PM
    Craft areas have three Shifts ( 9:30-12; 11:30-2:00 or 1:45-4:15) cider pressing is 12:15-4:15

  • Must be at least 12
  • Most shifts are 2-3 hours in length -volunteers may volunteer for one shift or multiple shifts- on site training provided the day of the event.
  • Experience is helpful but not required for crafts listed. Instructions will be provided. Some activities will be for adults and high school students only. Some activities will require a background check.
