Help us host this year's Halloween 2022 at the Qmunity District. This is be downtown San Jose's uniquely festive, safe, and LGBTQ+-affirming halloween street party for everyone!

This free community event will rely on the support of friendly volunteers to help our non-profit with a variety of tasks critical to keeping the event free and accessible to everyone. If you’re motivated by doing MORE for your community, there are several ways to help. Bring your skills and positive energy, and we promise to provide a good experience and lots of fun.

  • Decor/Set Assistant
    Help our designers envision, create, assemble, and set-up themed decor/sets (pre-event hours available)
  • Costumed Talent/Character
    Help create an immersive experience for guests in costume with use of props, noises, etc.
  • Games Assistant
    Help operate/monitor games, and provide customer service and information to attendees.
  • Event Assistant
    Help provide customer service, collect donations, and share information/directions at gates.
  • Operations Assistant
    Help with event tasks, decor, and equipment. Aid our team in producing a successful event.
  • Communications Assistant
    Help with photos, video, social media content, and other communication support tasks
Volunteers will receive the following complimentary elements:
  • Community service credit

  • Refreshments

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 16
  • Orientation or Training
  • Shifts are usually four (4) hours, and individuals or groups may sign-up for more than one shift. Some positions have additional pre-event hours for those interested.
  • In spirit of safety, all volunteers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. We encourage volunteers to be at-least sixteen (16) years old. Must be age eighteen (18) to volunteer after 6:00pm.
