Zoo Guide Positions
Zoo Guides at the Birmingham Zoo are our team of frontline volunteers who ensure guests have a positive, friendly, and engaging experience. These volunteers are knowledgeable in locations of resident animals and guest amenities and offer customer service as well as conservation messaging to our guests during their visit by using strategies from the Guest Interaction Guide.

Description

Not-for-profit zoo focused on conservation, education, and the well-being of living things. We ask for $50.00 for adults and $50.00 for teens at the orientations to help us with the cost of a criminal background check (all volunteers and employees must have a check) and ID badge, t-shirt and to offset the cost of annual appreciation events. We offer free training for volunteers and provide discounts in the gift shop and food courts.
