ORGANIZATION: FEONIX - MOBILITY RISING

Looking for a meaningful way to make an immediate difference?

Interested in alleviating hunger in our community?

Like to drive?

If so, you can help us end food insecurity in our community. We need volunteers to help hungry people get to-and-from Dallas County drive-through food pantries. Once returning our passengers to their home, you may also help them to their door.

We are Feonix-Mobility Rising, and we work to solve transportation barriers that impact our neighbors' health. We are looking for volunteers who can answer yes to the following questions:

Are you a motivated, community-focused individual?

Do you have a car, SUV, or truck that you are able to drive?

Volunteer Driver requirements are pretty straight-forward. You must have a current driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance. In addition, you must pass a background check and have a smartphone.

COVID-19 considerations:

All of our Volunteer Drivers go through online infectious disease training based on CDC guidelines on how to safely transport passengers and sanitize their vehicles. Volunteers will also receive a stipend to purchase or will be provided with PPE.

Feonix - Mobility Rising creates mobility solution for the health and well-being of every person in every community

Description

Right now, in your community, there are people who have no way to get to the doctor, the pharmacy, the grocery store, or work.

Here at Feonix - Mobility Rising, we help fill in the gaps in the social service ecosystem for individuals living with transportation insecurity. We’ve been collaborating with communities around the United States since 2018 to solve some of the biggest mobility challenges in our communities.

We recruit and train volunteers and work with local transportation providers to provide free or low-cost rides to people in need. We also provide online disability training (ADAPT) for transportation professionals to help make all transportation accessible to people with mobility challenges.
