Mission Statement

Carrie Simon House fights homelessness and poverty in the Washington, D.C. area, by providing young mothers and their children with a safe, nurturing home, and individualized, whole-family support to achieve their goals. Carrie Simon House works to help women overcome inequities and realize their own and their families’ potential.

A nonprofit transitional home, Carrie Simon House accommodates up to three families at a time in its well-maintained residence in NW Washington. Our wrap-around services include case management, trauma-informed counseling, mentorship, and life management and parenting skills. We follow best practices to provide mothers aged 18-30, with the tools, guidance, and skills necessary to build community connections and relationships.
