Quick Overview: Looking for a passionate, motivated volunteer with experience in volunteer recruitment or a desire to learn about human resource management!
Impact: S.Y.STEM Coalition's mission is to be a guiding path for youth (K-12) as they acknowledge and experience the opportunities STEM can provide them and their communities.
Mission: SYSTEM Coalition started 5 years ago in Tucson, AZ. 6 exceptionally talented and motivated people who wanted to give back to the community by helping K-12 students find a passion for STEM. We saw all of the poverty in our city and realized if just one of those kids from that community was able to get a great paying job in STEM, they could not only help themselves but also help their whole family break the cycle of poverty! Now the organization has over 100 volunteers, chapters in 3 different cities and growing! More than anything, being a part of this amazing organization has shown me that you really CAN change the world, one step at a time!
Roles & Responsibilities: This position drives to motivate others to volunteer with a new, rising nonprofit in the LA area. Establishing communication while connecting other volunteers to harness their abilities for a great cause is what this role is all about. If you're looking for an organization with strong roots and a passion for STEM, this is a great opportunity to give back to your community, meet new people and exercise skills that can be used throughout your own career!!!
