ORGANIZATION: Elder Wisdom Circle

Elder Wisdom Circle is a small nonprofit that works to transform lives through intergeneration advice-giving to young people from all over the world. We answer over 16,000 requests annually. Advice-seekers are 18-35, and older adults 60+ share their life's wisdom with them. We are one of the first recipients of a Google Ads Grant and have been grandfathered in with an ad spend higher that most nonprofits.

Elder Wisdom Circle is looking for a volunteer to manage our Google Ad campaigns. We are looking for a volunteer who will help us optimize our campaigns and maximize the amount of usage for our monthly grant. Although we prefer someone who has experience working with nonprofit organizations, this is not mandatory and willingness to help and learn is sufficient.

Our goals

Attract young people between 18-35 seeking advice to our website to submit a request

Our Objectives

  • For the campaign, we will work to maintain, and exceed Google's Requirements
  • Minimum Click Through Rate of 5% for Ad Grants.
  • No single-word keyword, brand names, medical conditions.
  • Keyword Quality Score MUST be 3 or more.
  • Worldwide targeting.
  • Minimum 2 Ad Groups per Campaign.
  • Minimum 2 Ads per Ad Group.
  • Sitelinks on all campaigns.
  • Conversion tracking must be turned on.

Requirements

  • +24 years old.
  • Experience with social media.
  • Previous experience with google ads is a must
  • Internet connection.

This is a virtual volunteer role.

Description

We are a web-based nonprofit service organization that pairs online advice seekers in their teens, 20's and 30's with a nationwide network of Cyber-Grandparents, aged 55 to 105, who share their hard-earned knowledge and wisdom. Our Elder members participate individually from their home computers or in groups at retirement communities (with the help of a facilitator). Anyone with access to the Internet can request anonymous advice on any topic and will receive a personalized e-mail response in return. The voice of experience is hip, sincere, and highly sought after by people of all ages; we are the most popular source of free online advice in the country. The Elder Wisdom Circle has been featured on ABC, CBS, BBC, NPR, and in many publications including USA Today and Time.
