FLAGLER COUNTY AARP TAX AIDE IS actively seeking new volunteers to fill tax counselor/preparer positions

Flagler County AARP Tax Aide is a district of the AARP Foundation.

We are looking for compassionate and friendly people to join our volunteer team. We'll provide the training and support to help you learn new skills, and you'll get a great feeling from helping those in need. The program is looking for individuals to volunteer virtually or in person in a number of roles to provide help to taxpayers. Our volunteers come from a variety of industries and span from retirees to college students.

Counselors work with taxpayers directly by filling out tax returns. If you have no previous experience, you’ll get the training you need and will also receive IRS certification. Computer competency and a financial background is a plus, Training will be in the classroom starting the first week of January 2024.

Volunteer commitment from January through April 15th, 1-2 full days per week.
