We're looking for a few talented and conscientious volunteer board members to lead and strengthen our programs for children and youth in foster care.If you can contribute your time, thoughtfulness, and leadership for approximately 10 hours a week, and are interested in exploring any of these opportunities, email us your contact information to schedule a phone conversation.

Must be responsible for developing and managing annual budget with President and board
Must be responsible for keeping the board regularly informed of key financial events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health for chapter.
Must be willing to work closely with CFO and finance team at National Angels

Must be willing to keep minutes and records for each board meeting and distribute to board and National Angels CFO and finance assistant within 48 hours after meeting.
Must be willing to uphold the legal requirements of governing documents, charity laws, company laws (where relevant).
Must be willing to oversee the signatures of Bylaws each year and turn in to National Angels.
Must be willing to keep chapter binder with all agendas, minutes, important documents and have present at each board meeting.

Director of Faith Community:
Develop and implement an engagement strategy with churches/faith organizations
Develop long-term relationships with church leaders through personal interaction and involvement and strive to connect the church/faith partnerships with our Love Box and D2D Program.
Serve as a point person responsible for regular communication and partnership opportunities with churches/faith organizations
Oversee the development of networks with key churches and pastors and church volunteers who will promote our organization within the church and community. Develop and present funding proposals to church leaders and to the congregation for committing financial contributions to the organization

The Charlotte Angels mission is to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.


Charlotte Angels was started as a chapter in 2019 under our parent organization, National Angels. National Angels was started after success of the original Angels organization, Austin Angels.

The foundation of Charlotte Angels is community, empowerment, and hope. The mission of the Charlotte Angels is to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship. Intentional giving includes thoughtful and personal resources, gifts, and care packages that meet the real needs of the child and the entire family. Relationship building is devoting time and energy to fostering healthy relations that promote healing through connections and interpersonal bonding. Mentorship is equipping is empowering the youth in our programs to be prepared for independent living and reaching their fullest potential.

All board members and employees of any Angels organizations are expected to act with honesty and integrity, fair in all interactions as representatives of the organization, and commit to a positive change within the child welfare system. The culture of the team should be such that everyone believes in collaboration, transparency, and responsible stewardship of resources.
