This volunteer opportunity is built to assist barn staff at a beautiful Therapeutic Riding facility with morning and afternoon chores/responsibilities. Volunteers applying for this opportunity must have previous horse experience, be at least 16 years of age, must be reliable and have their own transportation to the farm. Our staff is knowledgable and ready to teach individuals about horse care and maintenance. This opportunity will allow a young equestrian to grow and learn the ins and outs of stable management.

Volunteers for Morning Chores Shift will assist with bringing in horses, feeding them, and providing fresh hay and water to our miniature horses!

afternoon /
02:30 PM to 04:00 PM
Volunteers for Afternoon Chores Shift will assist with turning out horses and mucking stalls.

OVERVIEW
Madison Fields is a project of Madison House Autism Foundation, a national 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The foundation was created in 2007 to address the lifespan challenges facing adults with autism. Madison Fields offers an exciting opportunity to model what is possible when we as a community empower people of all abilities to participate and contribute. At Madison Fields, we recognize the strength in a diverse, inclusive community working together to help one another achieve their greatest potential. It is our feeling that we all grow best when we are growing together.
