In observance of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, AmeriCorps and the Jewish Renaissance Foundation will be holding a laundry donation drive-up on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 9am-12pm at Middlesex College, Perth Amboy Campus, 60 Washington Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861 (Please enter on High Street)
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, our families and homeless are struggling to support themselves. They must make impossible decisions each month in terms of their basic needs. One of the lowest priorities on the list is allocating laundry expenses.
The purpose of the drive is to create a fully stocked laundry pantry where our families & homeless individuals, can receive free laundry products along with pre-paid vouchers to wash and dry their clothes at our neighborhood small businesses (laundromats) on designated "Loads of Care" days.
All donations are welcome, we ask that you purchase dye-free products only.

The JRF brings innovative ideas and culturally competent programs and services to advance the health and well-being of all people and we work to address barriers to economic self-sufficiency. JRF’s programs include, but not limited to AmeriCorps, Comfort Partners (PSEG), Perth Amboy Alliance for Community (PAAC), Alternative Education Program (AEI), Silver Linings, School-Based Youth Services (SBYS), Youth Entrepreneurial Program (YEP), Step-Up (AUL Charter School), the Community Health Center (CHC), Emerging Leaders and the Bayside Family Success Center (FSC). We make hope happen through our hard work and our amazing partnerships!

- Volunteers are asked to confirm if they plan to attend prior to the event start time.
- Everyone will complete a Covid-19 exposure questionnaire and temperatures will be checked upon arrival. Masks must be worn and are strictly enforced.
