Volunteer recruitment is underway for Sunset Sprint 5K/10K on Friday, October 1, 2021. Participants will race the sunset along Cleveland's scenic shore of Lake Erie during Sunset Sprint 5K/10K presented by The Illuminating Company.

This chip-timed race features the unique opportunity to run or walk at sunset at one of Cleveland’s most iconic parks; Cleveland Metroparks Edgewater Park. The 5K race route will run along the all-purpose trail at Edgewater Park’s lower and upper areas with the 10K option completing two loops of the 5K route. Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome to participate.

We are looking for help in the following ways:

  • Gear Check Assistants
  • Course Assistants
  • Water Stop Assistants
  • Timer Assistants
​As a volunteer, you may be asked to fill in at a different position based on need. Volunteers will receive free parking, a meal, and an event t-shirt to wear while they are working the race.

Description

GCSC supports the local economy, utilizes sports as a vehicle to forward community agendas and maintains a goal of producing events that are more successful when held in Cleveland than in other cities.

From small youth tournaments to NCAA Championships to international-Olympic competitions, we've experienced it all. Our organization provides a wide range of services to elevate events to the next level when held in Cleveland.
