Quick Overview: The Niles Foundation's partner community garden is looking for a few volunteers a week to help us with gardening, composting, and our young farmers' classes. We teach our volunteers, so you can have little or no experience! This is an on-site volunteer project here in LA.
Roles & Responsibilities: Volunteer roles will be to assist the foundation and partner gardening program leaders onsite gardening, composting, and our young farmers' classes. Responsibilities include laying down soil, watering plants, putting gardening tools up, pulling weeds, planting new seeds or plants, and guiding participants in the garden for youth classes.
Requirements: All volunteers must sign our garden safety rules, regulations, and guidelines form for volunteering in the garden. All volunteers are required to wear a mask at all times and follow all Covid-19 rules and guidelines.
Additional Information: We have multiple garden sites and will be adding them over time. Please read your emails for regular updates and you can reach us, @ 310.881.3640 when heading to sites.
