Video Editor- Virtual Volunteer

This is a Volunteer role that requires in-depth knowledge of various aspects of Video editing, hands-on experience, and overseeing multiple elements. The candidate will work on editing video projects related to Haiti Now mission.

• Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over, media management and archiving project media.
• A bachelor’s degree in a field such as a film, video production, broadcasting or in related fields.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience in video editing, television, film, sound, or news media.
• Minimum of 5 volunteer hours per week
• Must be responsive to all messages within 24 hours
• Excellent time management & communication skills in English
• Highly collaborative style; experience working in a virtual environment highly preferred
• Proficiency with Google Suite Apps such as Drive, Sheets, etc. and familiarity with Trello & Slack
• Enjoys creating & implementing initiatives
• Detail-oriented, organized, consistently communicates, and deadline-driven
• Motivated self starter and entrepreneurial with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Experience or knowledge working in a Non-profit or social issues preferred
