In today’s Civil Air Patrol the Operations Officer is a manager of staff, a coordinator of programs, liaison with other staff agencies or interested agencies and CAP-USAF counterparts and the developer and implementer of operations plans, programs and directives.

As a volunteer with CAP you can participate in Search and Rescue missions, training and practice exercises; and disaster relief efforts as part of the Auxiliary of the USAF.

The Dothan Composite Squadron is currently in need of volunteers with a background in operations management. With three varied missions ensuring each are operational is key to our success. We are looking for individuals who have skills in leadership, planning, excellent communication, problem solving and teamwork.

The CAP Senior Member Education and Training Program prepares members to serve their units, their communities, and their nation.We will train you in the role of Operations Officer in the Dothan Composite Squadron.

Civil Air Patrol is congressionally chartered and operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. CAP performs services for the federal government as the official civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force and for states/local communities as a nonprofit organization.   • Once the CAP system is learned and training is completed, this position could average between 10-15 hours a month.
