Are you interested in making a LARGE impact in your COMMUNITY and local Botanical Garden? Come out and join us at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden! Volunteers are the heart of the Garden and we really appreciate our volunteers. Experience is not needed, but we really do need people that can commit to at least one Wednesday morning a week.

The Heritage Garden caters to the community by providing fresh vegetables and herbs to community food banks within our reach. On average and, at peak growing season (not winter) we collect anywhere from 10-15lbs of fresh produce to send to the community food bank weekly. We are looking for a few extra people that will be available to assist us weekly as we get ready for the summer growing season !

Some of the tasks may include; pruning, weeding, flagging ant hills, planting, observing plants and recording problems or diseases, harvesting and weighing produce and more! Sometimes we will have refreshments when we are done in the garden on our Wednesday mornings! You just never know, but we always have fun!
