Donor Relations Associate

Role/scope of work: Provide support to the donor relations department in several primary areas: database management, fund administration, event execution, database management and reporting. Responsible for representing the organization through communicating with donors, and providing quality services for fundraising and exemplifying excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the database management for all funds
• Manage gift receipt editing and review process
• Assist in the development and maintenance of donor/fund records, reports and profiles
• Participate in the development of on-going activities of Wells of Life, Inc.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of relationships with educational institutions and scholarship fund selection committees

Skills needed/proficiency: Prior professional experience in a fast-paced environment, nonprofit or customer-service-related position. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Location: Remote, preferably based in California

Timeline: The volunteer could assist on a specific project, or join Wells of Life for a longer term.

Qualifications:

• knowledge of general research practices, nonprofit organizations, database proficiency, and computer skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills
• Proven critical-thinking skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team structure

Additional Notes: The donor relations associate will support the job functions and administration of the nonprofit organization including the operations and donor relations departments. They will oversee outreach to past, current, and prospective donors. The donor relations associate will be responsible for maintaining communications via phone and email with specified donors or their designated representatives.
