Waterway Advocates is seeking 2 dedicatedBoard Members to join its Board of Directors! We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the communities of Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties. Our mission is to facilitate meaningful service-learning experiences that engage local communities in beautifying and protecting our ecosystems, and we need your help to maximize our impact!

Job Title: Board Member

Compensation: Volunteer

Job Description:

The Board Member will serve as an active advocate and ambassador for the organization within the community. Together with the Board of Directors and Operations Staff, they will also engage in identifying securing the financial resources, partnerships, and connections necessary for Waterway Advocates to advance its mission.
Preferred Qualifications:

• Resident or strong ties to Broward, Miami-Dade, and/or Palm Beach Counties

• Experience raising funds for non-profit organizations

• Experience managing non-profit organization accounts, bookkeeping, cash flow, and financial activities

• Strong passion for protecting South Florida's ecosystems

• Team player who is enthusiastic about collaborating with the Board and Operations Staff to ensure the success of the organization
