Italian Community Services is looking for volunteers to help our programming dedicated to eliminating isolated among senior citizens in our community.
Covid has filled their lives with fear and even though we are better equipped now than in 2020, these seniors still wish to stay in doors.
Please volunteer and help us with one of the following:
-assemble care packages of organic produce and Italian foods.
-deliver care packages to isolated seniors.
-make calls to 5 senior citizens every two weeks. This is to make them feel heard, and loved.

In 1916, leading members of the San Francisco Italian community established the Italian-American Community Services Agency with a dream: Successful in their own lives, these leaders wanted to help their Italian brethren. Italian-American Community Services Agency works to provide advocacy, and to promote, protect and coordinate housing, medical, nutritional and other social services for seniors and adults with disabilities. In the Italian tradition, the idea of community sustains every one of us, and can offer healing to troubled lives. Presenting people with the possibilities for preserving their self-sufficiency provides the needed rays of light and hope that translate to long-term sustenance.
