A Celebration of the Performing Arts is a grand re-opening event for the Newhall Family Theatre. All community members are invited to learn about and celebrate the performing arts.
The day will start with an educational event consisting of stations that illustrate how the different creative and technical jobs related to the performing arts function both apart and together to serve the production. Kids will rotate through the stations learning about the various aspects of theatre and earing stamps at each station. We are looking for volunteers with an interest in the performing arts to assist with with the rotations, as well as helping with other aspects of the morning.
The day will culminate in a celebration of performing arts organizations in the SCV on the beautiful Newhall Family Theatre stage. Volunteers are needed to be ushers for the afternoon in the theatre to assist with the show.
We welcome all those interested in sharing the performing arts with the children and families of the SCV to come join us in celebrating the return of the performing arts after the pause created by Covie-19. All Covid-19 protocols will be in effect.

Mission Statement
The mission of Raising the Curtain Foundation to enhance the Newhall Family Theatre for the Performing Arts, an inclusive performance venue for members of the community, artists, students, and educators. Founded in 2018, the Foundation will help create and promote programming held at the Newhall Family Theatre to help introduce the performing arts to the local community.
Description
Raising the Curtain Foundation was established to support and enhance the Newhall Family Theatre. We fundraise to provide whatever is needed by the Newhall Family Theatre so it may present engaging, educational, and entertaining content to the community as a whole. We also work to promote the theatre and its programming, and collaborate with other local performing arts organizations in the Santa Clarita Valley. Located on the campus of Newhall Elementary, in Newhall, CA, this beautiful and newly renovated theatre is a true gem in the community, and we are honored to support it.
