Boulder County Horse Association (BCHA) has been around for over 50 years leaving behind in its wake a positive impact on the equestrian world as it is today. Our mission as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization is to continue to promote, protect, and advocate for the equestrian community of Boulder County through education, recreation, and collaboration. With this mission comes the driving forces behind it; our board of directors, who have tirelessly volunteered their time for their passion; horses, community, and teaching.
BCHA is seeking dedicated team players to join our organization in several different member roles, or what we like to call, committee members. What's most important is that the role fits your interests and you can share your strengths with us and work together to move our mission forward and bring new ideas and energy to the table. Come join our organization as a committee member for:
- Emergency Preparedness Committee
- Play an integral part in planning, organizing, and executing on steps to implement for our community in an emergency such as the Marshall Fire. What does it take to evacuate from a fire? a flood? This is where you shine. Contact us today.
- Being the Secretary during board meetings
- Listen, learn, and record the progress our team is making 1x per month!
- Our Newsletter & Blog Committee
- Like writing? are you creative and have a knack for using MailChimp? Join us today!
- Trail Ride Committee
- Volunteer with us and help coordinate trail rides on the Boulder County trails!
- Membership Drive & Engagement Committee
- Our members and community keep us going! Assist in engaging the equine community of Boulder County by sharing the benefits and more of joining our great organization!
- Special Events & Social Gatherings Committee
- Like to plan events and coordinate spaces, services, and fun? This is the committee for you!
- Youth Membership Liason
- Are you a youth? Are you in 4-H or have interest and involvement with the youth equestrian community of Boulder County? We could use your expertise!

BCHA has been a umbrella organization for all horse-related interests in Boulder County since 1971. Our educational, recreational, and collaborative activities are centered around bringing the horse community together.

REQUIREMENTS
- Each role is different but on average requires about 3-6 hours per month. There is a 1.5-hour board meeting each month in addition to our educational series, special events, and trail rides. Touch base with us for more information.
