Equipping instructional staff, administrators, and students with the social emotional learning interventions and academic support necessary to thrive. Due to the pandemic Georgia Milestone test scores fell significantly from the 2018-19 school year, with some cohorts losing the equivalent of seven months or more in reading and math. The percentage of failing students rose by up to 9 points, varying by grade level and subject. The largest declines were in high school, where more students likely attended online. Widespread learning loss also amplified gaps across racial and socioeconomic lines. The proposed project will employ psychoeducation and multimodal instructional strategies to close achievement gaps for economically disadvantaged and minority students. Interns will provide administrative support for virtual learning and program administration. Duties include conducting research and organizing data, interacting with community partners on the school's behalf and performing additional clerical duties like updating calendars or sorting document, data entry, typing and proofreading program handbooks, grading online assignments, and updating social media platform and website. Assisting administrator in business processes such as licensing and setup of new school in addition to management of currently operating hybrid school. Redeveloping instructional plans, including curriculum development, for remote or hybrid learning or to address learning loss. Initiating and maintaining education and support services or assistance for remote or hybrid learning or to address learning loss.
