• Plan and create content based on the marketing content calendar to drive key metrics such as donor engagement, subscribe The Blog Copywriter is a virtual volunteer position that works directly with the Marketing team. The Blog Copywriter will be responsible for creating strong content by writing blog post copy aligned to the Marketing Plan with the goal of rallying and engaging donors to support our nonprofit organization.

• Interview the founder of our nonprofit as well as other volunteers to collect program updates and other content and ideas for blog posts
• Research key topics through provided research papers and existing marketing materials
• Write marketing copy that is aligned with our messaging, brand, and SEO keywords
• Suggest opportunities and content for growing community and engagement
• Collaborate with the marketing team and SEO team to produce content that meets the needs of our audience and donors
• Attend a weekly meeting with the marketing team over the phone to provide updates
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in blog content creation or copywriting preferred
• Bachelor's degree in English, advertising, journalism or marketing
• Mastery of English grammar and style

• Demonstrated ability to write successful blog content: clear, precise and compelling writing skills
• Minimum of 5 volunteer hours per week
• PMs Minimum volunteer hours 10 hrs per week for at least 6 months
• Must be responsive to all messages within 24 hours
• Excellent time management & communication skills in English
• Highly collaborative style; experience working in a virtual environment highly preferred
• Proficiency with Google Suite Apps such as Drive, Sheets, etc. and familiarity with Trello & Slack
• Enjoys creating & implementing initiatives
• Reliable internet connection a must
• Detail-oriented, organized, consistently communicates, and deadline-driven
• Motivated self starter and entrepreneurial with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Experience or knowledge working in a Non-profit or social issues preferred.
