Community leaders like you are needed to help grow The Longest Day across North Carolina. The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. And it’s the day the Alzheimer’s Association calls on everyone to to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice. The Longest Day Volunteer Committee is a fun group of volunteers focused on bringing out the creativity in our fundraisers and teams. We’ll find a role that fits your interests, skills and schedule. Join us on screen to learn more and see if our The Longest Day Committee is right for you or someone you know at our Volunteer Interest Party on September 14. Mission Statement

Our Vision: A world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Our Mission: The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia -- by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

Description

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research.

We work on a national and local level to provide care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias.

As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Association is committed to advancing vital research towards methods of treatment, prevention and ultimately a cure.

The Association is the leading voice for Alzheimer's disease advocacy, fighting for critical Alzheimer's research and care initiatives at the state and federal level.
