I am reaching out to you in hopes that you, your coworkers, or your peers would be interested in supporting The Bridging Tech Charitable Fund by volunteering for our mentorship program ! This program is mutually beneficial for student and mentor, and I hope that you can indicate your interest or forward this message to others who may be interested as well!
To give a brief overview of what the Mentor position entails:
- 1-3 hours/week working with elementary, middle or high school students at least once a week
- Support mentee with job-readiness, educational advice, extracurricular engagement, or by leading subject-specific mini-courses
- willing to make a 6-month commitment
Criteria we are looking for:
- prior mentorship/tutoring experience, some sort of experience working with young people, or deep interest in mentoring and engaging in young students’ lives
- excellent communications skills
