CAN-tree food drive 2021 volunteer interest

ORGANIZATION: Food Share, Inc.

Our biggest event of the year is back! The 10th Annual CAN-tree Drive is returning to Figueroa Plaza in Downtown Ventura Thursday, December 9 - Sunday, December 12, 2021. We want to get our interested volunteers signed up so we know in advance who we can count on to make this event possible.

LOTS of volunteers are needed for this event. Kids 12 & older are OK if with an adult.

We will have several different shifts with various duties some prior to event date and most during December 9th through December 12, 2021.

We will need volunteers to prep cans in order to build the 15 foot big trees.

We will need volunteers to help build the 15 foot trees.

We will need volunteers to deliver canned food to various business or homes.

At the event date we need volunteers to help with:

* Traffic Control
* Unload can out of cars into carts
* Checking in tree builders
* Escort tree builders to their assigned locations
* Can runners
* Assist with tree building
* Break down boxes and place in recycle bins
* Remove any trash in area

* Build marquee trees
* Set-up tree circles
* Set-up booths
* Remove trash keeping areas clean
