Hackensack Meridian Hospice provides a special type of healthcare to those suffering from a life-limiting illness. Volunteers, at least 18 years old, typically provide 1-2 hours of service once a week based on your schedule and within a manageable commute. Orientation is free of charge. Hackensack Meridian Hospice is one of the longest-running hospice programs in the region with over 30 years of proud service and commitment to the community. Our longevity reflects our excellent and sensitive care for patients including Veterans and individuals of diverse orientations, backgrounds, financial status and diagnoses. A member of the Hackensack Meridian Health network, we are a not-for-profit organization which serves patients who reside in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset, and Union Counties. The time and talent that volunteers give helps Hackensack Meridian Hospice provide compassionate and quality care to our patients and families.
