San Francisco Night Ministry's phone line known as the "Care Line" provides non-judgmental, compassionate listening on any topic, crisis counseling, and spiritual care every day from 8pm to 4am PST. Care Line Counselors come from many faith traditions and spiritual backgrounds and help people make meaning for themselves in line with their own understanding of reality.

San Francisco Night Ministry is currently accepting applications for the role of Care Line Operational Intern! This is a new fully remote position which will directly support the Care Line Counselors. This includes monitoring our scheduling platform, adjusting the schedule as needed, acting in a leadership capacity with the counselors by supporting their needs, and other duties as they arise that may include counseling callers. The time requirement of this position will vary, but is estimated to be about 10 hours a week Monday - Friday. The intern will need to be able to commit to one year of service after the start date.

This position would be an excellent opportunity for a college student looking to gain experience in operational management, non-profit administration, social work, leadership, counseling, spiritual care, and mental health. You will receive extensive training as well as a modest stipend, and if applicable, college credit.
