Help our Athletes get back to play. After a long time out due to COVID-19, Special Olympics Athletes are getting back to practice. Come and help theme play this Fall season. A weekly commitment of 1.5 - 2 hours is required working towards a event finale in November when athletes get to compete against other teams in the State.

Mission Statement
The mission of Special Olympics Delaware is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Description
Special Olympics Delaware has been changing the lives of Delawareans since 1971. Through sports training and competition in 20 sports, more than 4,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities have proven that, given the chance, no disability is too great to overcome.
