Synergized Society Inc. (SSI) is a non-profit organization who partners with communities to provide sustainable neighborhoods and educational resources inclusive of all. Our goal is to focus on empowering communities and invigorate economic, social, cultural, and civil independence. We are just getting started on executing on our mission and are working to fill our inaugural Board of Directors as well as gather potential organizational volunteers. This will be a working board, with the expectation that the members each head up a committee that best suits their skillset and interests. Please consider serving on our Board of Directors or volunteer for our advisory committee. Check us out at www.SynergizedSocietyinc.org Seeking Volunteer Advisory Board Member to fulfill with the following: - Attend virtual Advisory Board meetings and important related meetings - Actively participate in committee work - Stay informed about committee matters, prepares for meetings, and reviews/comments on minutes and reports - Collaborates with committee members and builds a collegial working relationship that contributes to SSI mission - Play a leading role in fundraising activities - Participates and serves on at least one Advisory Board Standing Committee - Represents a segment of the population to ensure that all perspectives are included -Engagement & communication /ambassadors for our mission - Advocate for public policy Speaking engagements (acquiring & conducting speaking) - Fundraising - Advising on programs / organizational planning - Program Creation and Planning - Development of Program Policy *While advisory committees cannot create legally binding policies for the organization, they can help create policies which provide direction and support for the program staff. - Planning and Implementing Public Relations An advisory committee which includes influential community leaders can be effective at spreading the word about program services. - Funding Leadership Often advisory committees are created specifically to raise program funds. The advisory committee must be granted this authority by the executive director or the board of directors. Individuals committed to the organization with the influence to leverage resources will be most successful. - Subcommittees The advisory committee may develop subcommittees which have assigned tasks in specific areas. For example, a public awareness subcommittee composed of four members may be responsible for making recommendations about public awareness strategies and resources. Subcommittees may be short-lived according to a specific assignment or ongoing. - Other Tasks Advisory committees can be created to address a specific organizational need.
