ORGANIZATION: North Marin Community Services



North Marin Community Services seeks volunteers for our Child Development program - specifically, tutors for our middle-school students (grades 6 - 8). We are especially looking for volunteers who are comfortable/proficient in helping with math for grades 6-8. Opportunities are available Monday through Thursday, 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Once you submit your interest, you will be contacted to schedule a brief interview. Please note that all volunteers in our Child Development program must have a negative TB test (within the past year) and proof of immunity to measles and pertussis.

What We Do: Both Novato Youth Center (NYC) and Novato Human Needs Center (NHNC) had over 40-year histories of serving people in need in Novato and our surrounding communities. Now stronger together as North Marin Community Services (NMCS), our 60 staff and 300 volunteers serve 10,000+ youth, adults and families annually. Currently over 75% of those we serve are from low-income families, and our three program areas (Child Development, Health & Wellness, and Family & Community Engagement) work together to yield great impacts.
